Viewing the School & Applying for Admission

Children are accepted into the school during the course of the year if a vacancy becomes available.

Toddler & Pre-Primary

Parents of prospective pupils are invited to make an appointment to visit us during school hours. This gives us the opportunity to explain the Montessori approach; give an outline of the daily routine; and to take you on a tour of the school. You will be asked to complete a registration form and pay a non-refundable deposit of R500 within 7 days of viewing the school. This will secure a place for your child.

Junior Primary

Parents of prospective pupils are invited to make an appointment to view the school and complete an application form. A date will then be given for your child to visit and complete a short entrance test. Upon successful completion, you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit which will secure a place for your child.

The junior primary deposit is R2000 for those applying to enter the primary phase from other schools and R1500 for existing Ocean View Pupils.

Enrolment Process
Having completed the Admission process you will be sent a link to the Enrolment Portal on our School Administration System Child Cloud. This is a secure, password protected POPIA compliant platform that we use for all of our school data bases, records and communication. You will use the link to complete the required enrolment information and upload documents (Parent ID, proof of address, Child’s Birth Certificate, Health Records and past school reports/specialist reports.) These formalities need to be completed within 14 days of the link being sent in order for your child to be allocated to their class.

Orientation

An orientation tea for the new January intake of pupils is held in October prior to their admission. Parents and children are invited to spend an hour at the school to meet teachers, other parents and children before commencing school the following year.
